08.17.12 - Blacks

Paddled out at 11:55am, solo for a quick lunchtime session. Tide was dropping to a 1.15' low at 3:34pm. Conditions were relatively glassy, with slight nw winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 3.3' from 287° at 4s. There was more south energy today than yesterday. Surf was much better than yesterday. I would say the size was almost 2x. most waves were pretty closed out, but there were some corners to be had. Waves were shoulder high with occassional pluses. Water was really warm in my trunks and ls surf shirt. Board ridden: 5'8" Xanadu Pig 2.
