1.28.14 - Blacks

Paddled out at 6:15 am, Joel S. and Chris M. Tide was peaking out at a 6.8’ high at 6:39 AM. Conditions were clean, with slight offshore winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 3.9' from 263° at 14s. Pretty good session, especially considering the high tide. Waves were solid chest to head high, with occasional pluses. Water was toasty in my 4/3 full. Board ridden: 6’3” Wayne Lynch.

1.25.14 - Beacons

Paddled out at 3:15 PM, with Joel S. and Ken. Tide was pushing to a 3.1’ high at 5:33 PM. Conditions were clean, with no winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 4.6' from 269° at 16.1s. Really fun session at Beacons’ south peak. There were some really long rights and occasional lefts. We all got some fun rides. Only downside was the obstacle course of people hanging on the inside. Waves were 7-9’+. Water was warm in my 3/2 full. Board ridden: 6’3” Wayne Lynch.

1.23.14 - 11th St. Del Mar

Paddled out at 6:15 am, with Chris M. Tide was dropping to a 1.9’ low at 8:31 am. Conditions were clean, with slight side shore wind winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 4.3' from 277° at 14.4s. Swell had dropped a little bit, but still some long rides to be had. Waves were consistent head high sets. Water was warm in my 4/3 and hood. Board ridden: 5’11” Xanadu Pig 2 (back to the T1 fins).

1.21.14 - 11th St. Del Mar

Paddled out at 6:10 am, with Joel S. and joined later by Chris M. Tide was a 2.02' low at 5:50 am. Conditions were clean, with no winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 4.0' from 267° at 17.9s. Swell has filled in today. Still somewhat inconsistent, and a little walled. I did catch 3-4 really good rights though!. Waves were 6-8’ with occassional 9’ sets. Water was warm in my 4/3 full and hood. Board ridden: 5’11” Xanadu Pig 2 (put my tech flex fins in today).

1.19.14 - 11th St. Del Mar

Paddled out at 3:30 PM, with Chris M. and Joel S.. Tide was dropping to a 0.3’ low at 5:04 PM. Conditions were clean, with no winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 2.9' from 265° at 14.9s. It was really inconsistent, with some long rides coming through (if you were in the right spot at the right time). 11th street was pretty mixed with good, and not so good guys out - I think this was due to the long lulls between sets, which would allow anyone to paddle out to the line up. Waves were chest to head high, with occasional pluses. Water was comfortable in my 3/2 full. Board ridden: 5’11” Xanadu Pig 2.

1.11.14 - Blacks

Paddled out at 6:15 am, solo. Tide was just coming off of a 5.48‘ high at 5:48 am. Conditions were clean, with light offshore winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 3.5' from 280° at 13.8s. Today was a pretty good session. There was a little bit of a rip due to the high tide. It got pretty crowded as well. Waves were chest high, with bigger sets coming in as the tide dropped. Water was warm in my 4/3 and hood. Board ridden: 5’11” Xanadu Pig 2.

1.9.13 - Blacks

Paddled out at 6:18, with Joel S. and was joined by Chris M. a little later. Tide was dropping from a 5.08’ high at 4:12 am. Conditions were clean, with no winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 3.5' from 267° at 11.3s. surprisingly fun session today. I surfed just north of south peak. I caught a lot of fun rights and lefts. Waves were chest high with occasional pluses. Water was comfortable in my 4/3. Board ridden: 5’11” Xanadu Pig 2.

1.1.14 - 15th St Del Mar

Paddled out at 10:45, solo. Tide was b/w a 7.4’ high and a -1.8’ low. Conditions were relatively glassy, with slight onshore winds winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 3' from 276° at 15.2s. It was an “okay” session, but had to deal with a couple of kooks and my board got a ding from one of them.. Waves were waist to chest high. Water was warm in my 3/2 full. Board ridden: 5’10” KG Twinzer Fish.

12.31.13 - Sunset Cliffs

Paddled out at 10.45 am, with John B. and his nephew Garrett. Tide was dropping from a 7.4’ high at 7:35 am. Conditions were clean, with no winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of3.0' from 276° at 15.2 s. Fun session at Sunset Cliffs, 33’s and Ulu’s to be specific. Was a little slow at first due to the high tide, but in general really fun.. Waves were Chest to head high. Water was warm in my 3/2 full. Board ridden: 5’11” Xanadu Pig 2.
