11.29.14 - Beacons

Paddled out at 6:10 am, solo. Tide was dropping to a 2.3’ low at 9:12 am. Conditions were clean, with slight offshore winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 3.4' from 269° at 12.9s. Pretty fun session at Phoebe St. It was a little smaller, and less consistent, than I had hoped for. By being patient, I was able to pick of quite a few of the bigger sets that rolled through. Waves were chest high to slightly overhead. Water was comfortable in my 3/2 full. Board ridden: 5’11” Xanadu Pig 2.

11.28.14 - Blacks

Paddled out at 6:00 am, Chris M. Tide was dropping to a 2.7’ low at 7:33 am. Conditions were clean , with no winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 1.7' from 252° at 14.8s. It was a really small session. I thought the new swell would have been hitting, but not quite yet. I did manage to get a handful of "decent" ones though. Waves were knee to waist high. Water was comfortable in my 3/2 full. Board ridden: 5’11” Xanadu Pig 2.

Paddled out at 5:55 am, Chris M.. Tide was pushing to a 6.5’ high at 10:07 am. Conditions were clean, with offshore winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 3.2' from 274° at 13s. Another fun session. A little crowded, but fun nonetheless. Waves were chest high +. Water was comfortable in my 3/2 full. Board ridden: 5’11” Xanadu Pig 2.

Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 4.1' from 262° at 14.1s. Another fun session, a little swamped out by the tide, but good nonetheless. Waves were chest high plus. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 2.3' from 215° at 15s. Pretty mediocre session. Highlight was having dolphins so close they almost ran me over. Waves were waist high.
