08.02.12 - Blacks

Paddled out at 5:30, solo, and was the first one out. Joel S. joined me around 6:30am. Tide was very low, but pushing to a 4.7' high at 10:30. Conditions were clean, with no winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 2.2' from 275° at 6s. Surf was really small, with only occasional pulses coming through. It got surpising crowded early for such small surf. I estimate 30+ people out when I left at 7:00. Waves were waist high. Water was comfortable for my spring suit. Board ridden: 5'10" KG Twinzer Fish.

The walk down the road was really beautiful this morning. The, mostly, full moon was low in the western horizon, and there were a ton of stars, and a few planets, visible in the sky.
