07.07.2012 - Blacks

Paddled out at 6:05 AM, solo, but saw Chris M. and Joel S. later in the session. Tide was a -0.4 at 6:33 AM. Conditions were glassy, with periodic onshore winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 2.7' from 194°. The predominant swells were 2.7' at 17s from 213°. When the sets came through, the waves were really fun. It was pretty crowded and inconsistent though, so that is what gives the "fair" part of my rating. Waves were chest high with occasional pluses rolling through. Water was comfortable in my ss fullsuit, but there were a few cold spots. Board ridden: 5'10" KG Twinzer Fish.
