4.10.13 - 85s (Cardiff Campground)

Paddled out at 12:15 pm. Tide was dropping from a 4.27' high at 10:06 am. Conditions were clean, with no winds. Surf was smaller than yesterday, but a lot cleaner. I surfed leash less today, by choice, had to swim a couple of times, but only once all the way to the beach... Waves were 3-4'. Water was comfortable in my 3/2. Board ridden: 5'10" KG Twinzer Fish.

4.9.13 - 85s (Cardiff Campgrounds) - Round two

Paddled out at 4:00 pm solo. Tide was coming off of a 0.4 low at 3.15 pm. Conditions were clean, with no winds. Surf was cleaner than this morning, but somewhat inconsistent. Peaks were shifting around some, with some occasional sneaker bombs rolling through. Waves were 5-7'. Water felt nice, wore my 3/2. Board ridden: 5'11" Xanadu Pig 2.

4.9.13 - 85s (Cardiff Campground)

Paddled out at 6:15 with Joel S and Chris M. Tide was pushing to a 4.52' high at 9:27 am. Conditions were clean, with offshore winds. Surf was somewhat stormy still from the big winds blowing yesterday. Peaks were shifting around some, with some occasional sneaker bombs rolling through. Waves were 6-8'. Water was chilly, wore 4/3 and booties. Board ridden: 6'3" Wayne Lynch.

4.7.13 - Boneyards

Paddled out at 6:15, solo at first, then met up with Joel S and Chris M. Tide was pushing to a 5.3' high at 8:05 am. Conditions were crossed up, with slight south winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 5.6' from 285° at 7s. Surf was pretty random with the two ground swells and wind swell. Peaks were shifting all over the place, and a lot of waves were just a drop. Waves were 3-5'. Water was chilly, wore 4/3 and booties. Board ridden: 5'11" Xanadu Pig 2.

4.6.13 - Del Mar Jetties (DMJs) - Camp Pendleton Oceanside

Paddled out at 6:45 am, Chris M. Tide was pushing to a 5.2' at 7:15 am. Conditions were choppy, with south winds. Camp Pendleton Near Shore Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 4.3' from 216° at 7s. This was my first time going to Del Mar Jetties, and also my first time riding my new Wayne Lynch. Conditions were pretty bumpy, but could still see how this break would be epic on the right day. I caught a few corners, but also bailed on a few b/c of not being familiar with the break and not know how the board would handle certain drops... Waves were chest high, with occasional overhead sets. Water was cold, wore my 4/3 and booties. Board ridden: 6'3" Wayne Lynch.

4.4.13 - Blacks

Paddled out at around 6:15, with Chris M. Tide was coming off of a 4.9' high at 5:02 am. Conditions were clean, with light winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 2.5' from 251° at 10s. Surf was pretty inconsistent with occasional signs of the new swell filling in. I caught a couple of okay waves. I surfed leashless that day, and didn't need to swim, so that was cool. Waves were waist high. Water was cold. Board ridden: 5'11" Xanadu Pig 2.

4.2.13 - Blacks

Paddled out at 6:30 am, solo. Tide was dropping to a 0.1' low at 9:41 am. Conditions were mediocre, with variable north winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 3.1' from 261° at 15s. Surf looked pretty junky this morning, bad enough where I almost walked back up the road. I watched it for about 10 minutes and decided to give it a go. I caught a couple of "decent" ones and headed in. Waves were about 3'. Water was comfortable in my 4/3. Board ridden: 5'11" Xanadu Pig 2.
