Paddled out around 7:00 solo. It was a little walled, but a few fun corners to be had.  It felt really nice to be back down at blacks.

10.01.16 - Carlsbad Campgrounds

Paddled out at 6:30, with Tadd. Tide was pushing to a 5.8' high at 9:57. Conditions were clean, with no winds. Pretty fun session. Waves were a little soft outside due to the incoming tide. Waves were waist high +. Water was warm in my short sleeve full suit. Board ridden: 5’11” Xanadu Pig 2.

07.24.16 - Beacons

Paddled out at 5:45 pm, solo. Tide was dropping to a 1.7’ low at 7:50pm. Conditions were clean, with no winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 4.0' from 199° at 14s. A much better session than my morning session. Some long rides to be had. Waves were waist to chest high. Water was warm in my trunks. Board ridden: 5’10” Third World Exotic Twinzer Fish.

Paddled out at 9:15 am, solo. Tide was pushing from a 0.36’ low at 7:23 am. Conditions were clean, with no winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 4.1' from 207° at 17.1s. Okay session. Swell dropped some, still inconsistent. Waves were waist to chest high. Water was toasty in my long sleeve surf jacket. Board ridden: 5’11” Xanadu Pig 2.

05.07.16 - Blacks

Paddled out at 6:30, solo. Tide was pushing from a -1.2' low at 5:30 am. Conditions were Clean, with slight south east winds winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 3.2' from 243° at 14.8s. Pretty fun session today, perfect crowd levels (about 15 people max spread out). Waves were waist to chest high. Water was comfortable in my short sleeve full. Board ridden: 5’10” Twinzer fish.

06.09.15 - Swamis

Paddled out at 4:45 pm, solo. Tide was dropping from a 5.3’ high at 4:35 pm. Conditions were relatively junky, with south winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 4.4' from 198° at 14.7s. Fairly mediocre session, but still happy that I paddled out. Waves were waist to chest high. Water was comfortable in my 3/2 full. Board ridden: 5’11” Xanadu Pig 2.

09.25.14 - Blacks

Paddled out at 6:10 am, solo. Tide was coming off of a 0.9’ low at 4:01 am. Conditions were a little bumpy due to evening wind, with no winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 3.8' from 268° at 14.6s. Today was my first session on my new Larry Mabile shaped Third World Exotic Twinzer Fish. I caught a few okay waves, but nothing to write home about. Waves were waist to chest hig. Water was warm in my short sleeve full suit. Board ridden: 5’10” Third World Exotic Twinzer Fish.

8.31.14 - Blacks

Paddled out at 6:35 am, with Chris M.. Tide was a 1.79’ low at 6:35 am. Conditions were clean, with no winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 3.0' from 224° at 16.5s. Another pretty fun session. A little bit smaller than yesterday, but still caught a few long lefts. Waves were waist to chest high. Water was warm in my spring suit. Board ridden: 6’0” MR Twin Fin.

1.1.14 - 15th St Del Mar

Paddled out at 10:45, solo. Tide was b/w a 7.4’ high and a -1.8’ low. Conditions were relatively glassy, with slight onshore winds winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 3' from 276° at 15.2s. It was an “okay” session, but had to deal with a couple of kooks and my board got a ding from one of them.. Waves were waist to chest high. Water was warm in my 3/2 full. Board ridden: 5’10” KG Twinzer Fish.

12.29.13 - Boneyards

Paddled out at 11:30 am, with Bryan C.. Tide was dropping to a -0.8’ low at 1:16 pm. Conditions were a little bumpy, with slight onshore winds winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 3.6' from 277° at 17s. In general the waves were pretty soft and inconsistent. We both caught a few fun ones towards the end of our session. Waves were waist high with occasional pluses. Water was warm in my 3/2 full. Board ridden: 5’11” Xanadu Pig 2.

9.24.13 - Blacks

Paddled out at 6:10, with Joel S. and Chris M.. Tide was a 2.5' low at 6:10 am. Conditions were clean, with no winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 2.9' from 273° at 6s. It was a pretty fun session. Waves had dropped from Sunday, but was much more organized.. Waves were waist to chest high. Water was warm in my short sleeve full. Board ridden: 6'0" MR Twin.

Paddled out at 5:50 am, solo, but joined by Chris M. later. Tide was pushing to a 5.5' high at 9:54. Conditions were clean, with no winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 3.5' from 273° at 5s. Surf was peaky but relatively fun today. Missed a few barrel opportunities, and got slammed by one wave.. Waves were waist to chest high. Water was warm in my short sleeve full. Board ridden: 6'0" MR Twin.

8.31.13 - Oceanside Harbor

Paddled out at 6:45 am, with Joel S. and Chris M.. Tide was pushing to a 4.2' high at 8:00 am. Conditions were clean, with no winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 2.6' from 194° at 13s. Pretty fun session on the south side of the south jetty. It was pretty inconsistent, but relatively fun when the sets rolled through. Waves were waist to chest high. Water was warm in my short sleeve full. Board ridden: 6'0" MR Twin.

6.22.13 - Blacks

Paddled out at 5:50 am, solo. Tide was pushing to a 4.4' high at 9:39 am. Conditions were junky, with south winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 3.5' from 285° at 8s. Today was pretty meager. I only caught a couple of okay ones. Waves were waist high. Water was comfortable in my short sleeve full. Board ridden: 5'11" Xanadu Pig 2.

Paddled out at 5:40 am, solo, but was joined by Chris M. and Joel S. later. Tide was pushing to a 3.8' high at 7:54 am. Conditions were glassy to start with, with no winds to start, but then there were some south winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 3.6' from 210° at 12s. The session was pretty fun today. There were some racey rights and lefts rolling through. It was a little inconsistent. Waves were 3-4'+. Water was a little chilly in my spring suit.
