11.09.14 - Blacks

Paddled out at 6:00, solo. Tide was pushing to a 6.4’ high at 9:49 am. Conditions were junky, with light onshore winds winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 2.3' from 215° at 15s. Pretty mediocre session. Highlight was having dolphins so close they almost ran me over. Waves were waist high. Water was warm in my ss full suit. Board ridden: 5’11” Xanadu Pig 2.

9.21.13 - Blacks

Paddled out at 6:10, solo. Tide was pushing from a 0.8' low at 4:34 am. Conditions were clean, with no winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 2.1' from 266° at 5s. Pretty small session today. Very rare sets. A lot of sea weed on the inside. I ended up stashing my leash on the beach due to this. Waves were small to waist high. Water was comfortable in my short sleeve full. Board ridden: 6'0" MR Twin.

9.10.13 - Blacks

Paddled out at 6:00 am, solo. Tide was a 1.9' low at 6:05 am. Conditions were glassy, with no winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 1.8' from 272° at 5s. Small day, but excellent dolphin show. Waves were knee to waist high. Water was a little chilly in my short sleeve full. Board ridden: 6'0" MR Twin.

7.16.13 - Blacks

Paddled out at 5:45 am, solo. Tide was dropping to a 1.8' low at 9:07 am. Conditions were stormy, with side-shore winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 4.6' from 291° at 6s. It was a funky day at blacks today. I almost didn't paddle out since it looked so crossed up, but glad I did. There were some fun corners to be had, albeit hard to pick which waves would actually break. There was a really strong south current today. Nice dolphin show though. Waves were 3-5'. Water was warm in my trunks and LS surf shirt. Board ridden: 5'11" Xanadu Pig 2 (as a twin).

Paddled out at 5:50 am, solo. Tide was pushing to a 4.4' high at 9:39 am. Conditions were junky, with south winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 3.5' from 285° at 8s. Today was pretty meager. I only caught a couple of okay ones. Waves were waist high. Water was comfortable in my short sleeve full. Board ridden: 5'11" Xanadu Pig 2.
