Paddled out at 6:45 am, solo. Tide was coming off of a 3.0' low at 6:14 am. Conditions were clean, with no winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 2.7' from 202° at 14.9s. Generally a kind of blah session. Pretty small, and inconsistent. Waves were waist high. Water was warm in my short sleeve full. Board ridden: 5’11” Xanadu Pig 2.

07.24.16 - Blacks

Paddled out at 6:45 am, solo. Tide was dropping to a 0.5’ low at 7:00 am. Conditions were okay, with mixed winds winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 4.2' from 199° at 14.2s. Best way to describe this morning was the ocean seemed to have ocean sickness.. Waves were waist high with occasional pluses. Water was toasty in my long sleeve surf jacket. Board ridden: 5’11” Xanadu Pig 2.

Paddled out at 6:00 am, solo. Tide was dropping to a -0.07’ low at 5:45 am. Conditions were clean, with no winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 3.3' from 191° at 12s. Pretty small and inconsistent, but caught a couple of okay ones. Waves were waist high. Water was warm in my long sleeve surf jacket. Board ridden: 5’11” Xanadu Pig 2.

Paddled out at 5:00 pm, with Chris P. and MJ. Conditions were somewhat choppy, with slight onshore winds winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 1.9’ combined at 13.8s from 215°. Pretty meager session, surf wise, but really fun to be in the water with Chris and MJ. It was also fun to ride three of my boards in one session. Waves were thigh high. Water was comfortable in my short sleeve full suit. Board ridden: 9’6” Wegener, 5’10” Third World Exotic Twinzer Fish, and 5’11” Xanadu Pig 2.

Paddled out at 4:45 pm, solo. Tide was dropping from a 5.3’ high at 4:35 pm. Conditions were relatively junky, with south winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 4.4' from 198° at 14.7s. Fairly mediocre session, but still happy that I paddled out. Waves were waist to chest high. Water was comfortable in my 3/2 full. Board ridden: 5’11” Xanadu Pig 2.

02.20.15 - 25th St. Del Mar

Paddled out at 1:30 PM, solo. Tide was dropping to a -1.0’ low at 4:15 pm. Conditions were junky, with onshore winds winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 2.6' from 235°at 12s. Pretty junky session, but still managed to get a couple of decent waves. Waves were waist high. Water was comfortable in my 3/2 full. Board ridden: 5’10” Third World Exotic Twinzer Fish.

Paddled out at 3:30 pm, with Chris M. Tide was coming off of a -0.7’ low at 1:48 pm. Conditions were slightly choppy, with onshore winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 3.2' from 263° at 14.6s. It was a pretty funky afternoon session, with shifting peaks and a lot of rip currents. Waves were chest high +. Water was comfortable in my 3/2 full. Board ridden: 5’11” Xanadu Pig2.

Paddled out at 6:30 am, solo. Tide was pushing to a 4.9’ high at 7:10 am. Conditions were peaky and somewhat crossed up, with N-NW winds winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 2.6' from 251° at 12.7s. It was a pretty funky session due to tide and early winds. Not many long rides to be had.. Waves were chest high. Water was warm in my ss full suit. Board ridden: 5’10” Third World Exotic Twinzer Fish.

Paddled out at 5:45, with Chris M. and Joel S.. Tide was coming off of a 5.7' high at 5:21 am. Conditions were glassy, with no winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 1.9' from 277° at 6 s. Small glassy session, with minimal crowd. Waves were waist high at best. Water was cool in my 3/2 full. Board ridden: 5'11" Xanadu Pig 2.

8.17.13 - Blacks

Paddled out at 6:30 am, with Chris M.. Tide was mid level. Conditions were glassy, with no winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 2.5' from 280° at 4s. Today was a pretty meager session. Only caught a couple of waves, and ended the session without getting my hair wet. Highlight of the session was walking up the Ho Chi Min trail for my first time. Waves were 1'. Water was comfortable in my spring suit. Board ridden: 6'0" MR Twin.

Surf was pretty junky this afternoon. Waves were waist high. Water was felt really warm in my 3/2. Board ridden: 5'10" KG Twinzer.

4.13.13 - DMJs (Camp Pendleton)

Paddled out at 6:15am, with Chris M.. Tide was coming off of a -0.1' low at 5:50am. Conditions were junky, with south winds. Camp Pendleton Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 2.2' from 252° at 6s. Surf was pretty meager today. But since it was Chris' last day with access to Camp Pendleton, we paddled out. Waves were 1-2'. Water was cold. Board ridden: 5'11" Xanadu Pig 2.

4.7.13 - Boneyards

Paddled out at 6:15, solo at first, then met up with Joel S and Chris M. Tide was pushing to a 5.3' high at 8:05 am. Conditions were crossed up, with slight south winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 5.6' from 285° at 7s. Surf was pretty random with the two ground swells and wind swell. Peaks were shifting all over the place, and a lot of waves were just a drop. Waves were 3-5'. Water was chilly, wore 4/3 and booties. Board ridden: 5'11" Xanadu Pig 2.

4.6.13 - Del Mar Jetties (DMJs) - Camp Pendleton Oceanside

Paddled out at 6:45 am, Chris M. Tide was pushing to a 5.2' at 7:15 am. Conditions were choppy, with south winds. Camp Pendleton Near Shore Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 4.3' from 216° at 7s. This was my first time going to Del Mar Jetties, and also my first time riding my new Wayne Lynch. Conditions were pretty bumpy, but could still see how this break would be epic on the right day. I caught a few corners, but also bailed on a few b/c of not being familiar with the break and not know how the board would handle certain drops... Waves were chest high, with occasional overhead sets. Water was cold, wore my 4/3 and booties. Board ridden: 6'3" Wayne Lynch.

4.4.13 - Blacks

Paddled out at around 6:15, with Chris M. Tide was coming off of a 4.9' high at 5:02 am. Conditions were clean, with light winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 2.5' from 251° at 10s. Surf was pretty inconsistent with occasional signs of the new swell filling in. I caught a couple of okay waves. I surfed leashless that day, and didn't need to swim, so that was cool. Waves were waist high. Water was cold. Board ridden: 5'11" Xanadu Pig 2.
