2.15.14 - Blacks

Paddled out at 6:30 am, Chris M. Tide was pushing to a 5.8’ high at 9:00am. Conditions were clean, with no winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 2.3' from 254° at 12.7s. It was another day of small and inconsistent surf, and a fat tide. Waves were waist high. Water was warm in my 4/3 full. Board ridden: 5’11” Xanadu Pig 2.

2.13.14 - Blacks

Paddled out at 6:20 am, solo. Tide was pushing to a 5.9’ high at 7:58 am. Conditions were clean, with no winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 2.3' from 254° at 12.7s. It was a smaller, less consistent session from Tuesday. I caught a couple of decent ones, but nothing great.. Waves were waist high. Water was a little chilly in my 3/2 full. Board ridden: 5’11” Xanadu Pig 2.

2.11.14 - Blacks

Paddled out at 6:20 am, solo. Tide was pushing to a 5.7’ high at 6:52 am. Conditions were relatively clean, with no winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 3.5' from 271° at 10.2s. It was an okay session. Tide was a little to high for the swell. And the surf was a little funky with the combo wind and ground swells. Waves were waist high. Water was warm in my 4/3 full. Board ridden: 5’11” Xanadu Pig 2.

1.28.14 - Blacks

Paddled out at 6:15 am, Joel S. and Chris M. Tide was peaking out at a 6.8’ high at 6:39 AM. Conditions were clean, with slight offshore winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 3.9' from 263° at 14s. Pretty good session, especially considering the high tide. Waves were solid chest to head high, with occasional pluses. Water was toasty in my 4/3 full. Board ridden: 6’3” Wayne Lynch.

1.25.14 - Beacons

Paddled out at 3:15 PM, with Joel S. and Ken. Tide was pushing to a 3.1’ high at 5:33 PM. Conditions were clean, with no winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 4.6' from 269° at 16.1s. Really fun session at Beacons’ south peak. There were some really long rights and occasional lefts. We all got some fun rides. Only downside was the obstacle course of people hanging on the inside. Waves were 7-9’+. Water was warm in my 3/2 full. Board ridden: 6’3” Wayne Lynch.

1.23.14 - 11th St. Del Mar

Paddled out at 6:15 am, with Chris M. Tide was dropping to a 1.9’ low at 8:31 am. Conditions were clean, with slight side shore wind winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 4.3' from 277° at 14.4s. Swell had dropped a little bit, but still some long rides to be had. Waves were consistent head high sets. Water was warm in my 4/3 and hood. Board ridden: 5’11” Xanadu Pig 2 (back to the T1 fins).
