02.24.17 - Scripps

Paddled out at 6:45 am, solo. Tide was pushing to a 6.02' high at 7:28 am. Conditions were clean, with offshore winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 4.5' from 274° at 9s. Pretty fun session, caught a couple of nice long rides. I hadn’t been out in a while, so was feeling a little “off,” but fun regardless. Waves were head high plus. Water was comfy in my 4/3 full and hood. Board ridden: 5’11” Xanadu Pig 2.

02.10.17 - Blacks

Paddled out at 6:45 am, solo. Tide was pushing to a 6.23’ high at 8:12 am. Conditions were clean, with light SE winds winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 3.2' from 258° at 13s. Waves were a little “wonky” due to the tide, and felt a little more like a wind swell. Caught a few decent lefts, so I was happy I paddled out.. Waves were Head high. Water was comfortable in my 3/2 full and hood. Board ridden: 6’2” Xanadu Vekx.

Paddled out at 11:00 am, solo. Tide was dropping to a 0.16’ low at 11:22 am. Conditions were clean, with slight onshore breeze winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 4.2' from 265° at 11.3s. Okay session, a little soft and inconsistent but still glad I paddled out. Waves were chest high +. Water was comfortable in my 3/2 full with hood. Board ridden: 5”11” Xanadu Pig 2.

Paddled out at 7:15 am, Jon S.. Tide was dropping to a 0.82’ low at 10:07 am. Conditions were clean, with no winds. Torrey Pines Outer Buoy was reporting Significant Wave Height of 6.1' from 263° at 13.1s. First session on my new Xanadu. I set it up as a quad today. It will take a little bit to get used to this board, but in general I am really stoked. Some of the waves were big and closed out, but still caught some nice long ones. Waves were Head high +. Water was comfortable in my 3/2 full and hood. Board ridden: 6’2” Xanadu Vekx.

Paddled out at 3:30 pm, solo. Tide was dropping to a -0.66’ low at 4:16pm. Conditions were clean, with slight winds winds. Decent session, a little smaller and softer than Saturday. Waves were waist high. Water was comfortable in my 3/2 full. Board ridden: 6’0” MR Twin fin.

Paddled out at 2:00 pm, solo. Tide was dropping to a -0.82’ low at 3:45pm. Conditions were clean, with light winds winds. Very short session, but caught a couple good rights. Waves were waist high. Water was comfortable in my 3/2 full. Board ridden: 6’0” MR Twin fin.

Paddled out with Russ and his son. We hung out on the inside, b/c there were a ton of longboarders outside. Caught a few fun ones. Did get a little frustrated with the crowd - not necessarily the number, but the attitude... Alas.
